FIREARM LAWS &REGULATIONS

ARIZONA
CONCEALED CARRY

Must be 21 years old, but no permit or license is required otherwise.

OPEN CARRY

Open carry of a firearm is legal in Arizona, excepting those under 18 years of age.
No permit is required.
Restrictions on location of Open Carry do apply.

MOTOR VEHICLE CARRY

Handguns and firearms can be loaded and carried in your car or vehicle (Constitutional Carry), concealed or not.

NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT (NFA) FIREARMS

NFA items are legal in Arizona so long as they are registered properly pursuant to the National Firearms Act.

HUNTING

Most centerfiring handguns and rifles are legal when hunting in Arizona.
Minors aged 14-17 are allowed to open carry a firearm when hunting, as long as they are accompanied by a guardian of legal age.

FIREARM TRANSFERS & SALES

There is no waiting period when buying a firearm.
No licensing or registration of firearms is required.
No background check required for private sale or transfer.
You may purchase multiple firearms at one time.

AMMUNITION REGULATIONS

Arizona law does not place any restrictions on the purchase of ammo (if you are older than 18).
No permit is needed, and no records of ammunition sales are required.
