ARKANSAS
CONCEALED CARRY
No license required for those over 18 if they are on a journey (outside the home or property).
OPEN CARRY
No permit is required for the open carry of a firearm in Arkansas.
MOTOR VEHICLE CARRY
You may have a gun or firearm in your vehicle whether loaded or not (unless you plan to use the gun unlawfully).
NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT (NFA) FIREARMS
All NFA items are legal to own in Arkansas.
HUNTING
Arkansas has different firearms regulations for different types of hunts and seasons. Check with your local authorities for more information.
FIREARM TRANSFERS & SALES
No license is required for the sale of handguns or firearms.
No background check is required between private parties.
You do not have to register a firearm, and no permit is required.
You cannot transfer a firearm to a person under 18.
There is no waiting period.
Limitless firearms can be purchased at one particular time.
You must be at least 18 to possess a handgun.
There is no age limit to possess a rifle or shotgun.
AMMUNITION REGULATIONS
